Optimal
Translation Service Co., Ltd. utilizes a customer-oriented
project management database to manage and record
all aspects of Quality Assurance (QA). OTS endeavors
itself to ensure that proper QA is implemented
throughout a project's workflow. The workflow
is as follows:
Customer¨s
Call and Enquiry
After having received the call from our customer,
our receptionist will answer the enquiry from
our customer and acquire as sufficient information
as possible from customers, including language
and special technique requirements, time schedule,
testing, and etc. so as to accurately define customer¨s
needs and expectations.
Taking
Order and Kick off Meeting
The business manager will assess the project together
with our technical specialists to analyze documents
to be translated and count the total words. Based
on the result of analysis, a quotation is generated
to our customer. If our customer accepts the quotation,
a contract will be signed between our customer
and OTS.
For each individual project,
OTS will set up a project team, consisting of
a project manager, an administration supervisor,
a group of translators and the desktop publishing
editor.
The project manager will convene
a kick-off meeting and organize our specialists
with respect to the project to summarize a list
of glossary, and disseminate it to the translators
who will be involved in the project.
Draft
Translation
The involved translators will complete the draft
translation within the time limit specified by
the project manager.
Reviewing
& Edition
Our specialists will review the draft translation
and make necessary correction if any. The project
manager will send it back to the translators to
make modification, and then our editor will make
edition on the work done.
Proofreading
Another group of staff will proofread the edited
documents.
Quality
Control
Our in-house quality control personnel will strictly
examine the final version of the translated documents.
If everything is O.K, the project manager will
sign on the worksheet.
Hand-Over
to the Customer and Completion of the Project
The final version of the translated document (s)
will be handed over to our customer. If our customer
accepts it, then the whole project is completed. |
